NBA Player to Host Events to Benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters

Brad Miller of the Houston Rockets will host a charity gala, auction and golf tournament to benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters. Miller is a Kendallville native who has played for several National Basketball Association teams as well as Purdue University. Miller is a former Little Brother.

The golf outing will be held Monday at Noble Hawk Golf Links with tee times at 7:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Registration for a team of 5 is $600 and is a Florida Scramble format.

The Gala and Auction will be held Sept. 17 at the Grand Wayne Center. A silent auction and general reception begins at 6 p.m. Dinner is set for 7 p.m. and a live auction at 8. Formal attire is required.

Auction items will include vacation packages, home and garden equipment, a variety of rounds of golf and pieces of jewelry. Sports memorabilia autographed by Miller, Peyton Manning, Gene Keady, Yoa Ming, Tom Crean, Brian Kelly, Jim Caldwell and the 2011 NBA champion Dallas Mavericks will also be auctioned.

Tickets for the Gala and Auction can be purchased individually for $35 per ticket. Also available is the Corporate Table of Ten package for $750 which includes 10 tickets to the event and sponsor benefits.
