The 98th season of the Gasparilla Inn & Club will open in about four weeks with two special vacation offers and the prospect of a second straight extended annual run.
General Manager Jack Damioli said last year was so successful the Inn extended its season.
“We’re looking at doing that again this year,” Damioli said.
The National Historic Landmark resort will reopen Oct. 13 after its annual open house Oct. 12.
“In preparation for our opening this year, we have made numerous upgrades and renovations throughout the resort that mirror our attention to detail and commitment to quality,” said Damioli. “With each new season, it is always a joy to greet our guests, whether they are returning or making their first trip. Our intent is to make everyone feel at home.”
For the past century the Inn has been a privately owned barrier island destination where travelers experience “Florida as it was meant to be” through hospitality, amenities and long-held traditions.
To celebrate the start of its season, The Inn is offering the following two midweek getaway packages for travelers, available Oct. 13-31:
n Welcome Back package features an overnight rate of $200 per room plus recreation options such as bicycling, swimming and golf and luxurious accommodations.
n The October Golf Getaway package includes 18 holes of golf with cart as well as a deluxe room for as low as $300 per room. The resort’s magnificent Pete Dye-designed golf course is located on scenic Charlotte Harbor. A special unlimited golf package is also available, as well as single occupancy rates.
The packages are available Sunday through Thursday only. Rates are based upon double occupancy and availability. Daily service charges and taxes are extra. Offerings are not available to groups.
