Back From Vacation; Back in Swing of Things

I’ve been out of the loop lately, on vacation in Florida.

Did some fishing with an old friend in Stuart, got in a round a
golf at Sandridge Golf Club in Vero Beach and gave my nephew
an exclusive tour of my alma mater, the University of Florida.
Aaron is the newest Gator in the family.

Sandridge was in great shape. Played the Dunes course and shot a
40 on the front and a 44 on the back. If you’re ever out that way,
I’d suggest you get in a round. I played as a single and the
golfers were more than polite to let me play through. I was on and
off in just over three hours.

And the price was right. For 18, a cart and range balls for an
out-of-stater it was under 40 bones.

If you find yourself in Gainesville, Fla., you also might want
to consider getting in a round at the Mark Bostick Golf
Course
, where the Gators play. I took my nephew out there for a
quick tour and it was in superb condition. And don’t worry, you
don’t have to be a Gator to play it.

By the way, does anyone know of a good, reasonably priced golf
course near downtown Orlando? I considered getting in a round there
before I flew out on Monday, but I ran out of tiime.
